Fixed Base Simulator

A flight simulator without motion — the cockpit stays still while the visuals and controls simulate flight. Used for procedure training, instrument approaches, and BFR credit. Much cheaper to buy and operate than full-motion, and good enough for the vast majority of training outside type ratings.
