Ranked Ladder

The matchmaking system that pairs players of similar skill and tracks MMR (matchmaking rating). The "ladder grind" is the daily work of climbing through rank tiers. Playing ranked from a high-speed LAN center can be worth 10–50 ms less latency than home broadband — a meaningful competitive edge.
