Smash Factor
The ratio of ball speed to club head speed, measuring the efficiency of energy transfer at impact. A tour-quality driver strike hits 1.48–1.50. A poor strike drops to 1.35. Smash factor improves with center-face contact, not with swing speed — it is the cheapest distance you will ever find.
